Paper Submission

Instructions to authors

Authors may choose to submit two different kinds of papers: Scientific papers shall contain breakthrough contents, innovative developments supported by thorough scientific framework; on the other hand, technical papers are more technology-oriented, they can report for instance experimentation results.


Scientific and Technical papers

Scientific and technical sessions will be organized. The authors will have 20 minutes to present their work, respectively. Technical papers and Scientific papers should have a minimum of 6 pages. 2 extra pages will be allowed for a maximum number of 8 pages.


The scientific presentations will be 20 minutes long, including questions.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are encouraged to present research related to MAVs, from fundamental knowledge in disciplinary topics to cross-disciplinary technological innovation and the use of MAVs to other research fields. Dedicated applicative sessions will be set up.

Scientific and technical sessions will be organized. The authors will have 20 minutes to present their work, respectively. Technical papers and Scientific papers will be submitted as draft papers. Papers should have a minimum of 6 pages. 2 extra pages will be allowed for a maximum number of 8 pages.

Authors must use the conference template, which can be downloaded from the conference website at: Paper submission

Authors are encouraged to include their ORCIDs in their papers. The papers should be submitted electronically through the Easychair System.


Best Paper Award

On the basis of the reviews of the program committee members, a number of papers will be nominated for the best paper award. After the presentation of the nominated papers, a special committee will select the best paper of the IMAV 2021.


Special Issues

International Journal of Micro Air Vehicles (http://www.multi-science.co.uk/ijmav.htm) and Unmanned Systems (http://www.worldscientific.com/us/) offer the opportunity to participate in an expedited review process for the authors of the articles nominated for the Best Paper Award to be published in one of the two journals.


Proceedings

The proceedings of the conference will only be available on-line with free access for anybody.
